Cryptocoryne spiralis var. caudigera
Origin: India
Cryptocoryne spiralis var. caudigera features unusually tall, ribbon-like leaves with strong undulating margins and deep olive-green to brownish coloration. It grows steadily in low to medium light without CO2, making it a very easy and rewarding background Crypt for community tanks. The tall, flowing leaves create a dramatic and naturalistic riverscape effect.
Plant in nutrient-rich substrate and allow 4–6 weeks to establish. Low light is sufficient. No CO2 required. Tolerates a wide range of water hardness, making it suitable for most tap water conditions across Belgium and the Netherlands. A reliable Crypt that rarely melts after initial establishment. Excellent in Indian subcontinent biotope aquariums.
