Cryptocoryne usteriana Broad Sword

Cryptocoryne usteriana — the Crypto 'Broad Sword' — is one of the largest Cryptocoryne species, with broad, deep green leaves that can reach 50+ cm in large tanks. The hammered, bullate leaf surface and impressive size make it an exceptional background plant. Its large root system benefits from a deep, nutrient-rich substrate. Like all Crypts it prefers stable conditions but once established is very long-lasting and low-maintenance.

Light: medium. Nutrient-rich substrate. pH 6.0–7.5. Large tank (150+ L) for full development. Background plant. Very long-lived once established.
