Helanthium tenellum
Origin: North and South America
Dennerle's tissue culture of Helanthium tenellum 'Green' is a compact, grass-like plant that spreads steadily by runners to form a fine-textured foreground carpet over time. The bright lime-green narrow blades are elegant and suited to nano and Nature Aquarium setups. Arriving pest-free and snail-free in sterile tissue culture gel. Performs best in nutrient-rich substrate with moderate lighting.
Remove all sterile gel from roots and plant individual crowns 2–3 cm apart in nutrient-rich substrate. Moderate lighting encourages faster carpet establishment. CO2 is not required but accelerates runner production. Feed root zone with root tabs or a nutrient-rich substrate. Trim older leaves occasionally to encourage compact new growth.
