Echinodorus "Ozelot"

Echinodorus 'Ozelot' is a hybrid cultivar whose name references the spotted wildcat, reflecting the irregular reddish-brown mottling that covers its broad, olive-green leaves. The spotting pattern is unique to each leaf, giving the plant a living, organic quality. It is an easy-going grower suitable for beginners, reaching 25–40 cm and tolerating a wide range of water conditions. It produces daughter plants readily on arching flower stalks and requires only moderate fertilisation to thrive.

Light: Medium (30–60 PAR); spotting is visible under a wide range of lighting conditions. CO2: Not required; injection modestly improves leaf size and growth rate. Fertiliser: Root tabs every 3 months; balanced liquid fertiliser with iron and trace elements weekly.
