Eriocaulon sp. 'Vietnam'
Also known as: Vietnamese Eriocaulon, Vietnam Eriocaulon
Origin: Vietnam
Eriocaulon sp. 'Vietnam' is a collection form from Vietnamese highland streams and is considered one of the most aesthetically refined Eriocaulon species in the hobby. Its tight, symmetrical rosettes of narrow, bright green leaves are slightly larger than some other eriocaulons but maintain a neat, regular star form. It is frequently used in IAPLC-level aquascapes as a foreground accent plant, typically placed in small clusters to create precise yet natural-looking arrangements on the substrate.
Light: High; 70–100 PAR at substrate level. CO2: Required; 25–35 ppm pressurised injection. Water: pH 5.5–6.8, very soft (GH 0–6), low KH (0–3). Planting: Plant individual rosettes in fine nutrient substrate; leave crown fully exposed. Growth: Slow; stable conditions are more important than fertilisation intensity.
