Hemianthus callitrichoides Cuba HC

Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba' — HC — is the most famous and sought-after aquascape carpet plant. The tiniest commercial aquatic plant (leaves just 1–2 mm), it forms an extraordinarily dense, bright green carpet given ideal conditions. HC requires high light, CO2, and excellent nutrient dosing. It rewards skilled keepers with a lush, lawn-like carpet that forms the base of many competition aquascapes. Tissue culture cups are the standard pest-free supply form.

DEMANDING. High light (60+ µmol at substrate). CO2 injection essential. Iron-rich substrate. Temperature: 22–26°C. Most demanding common carpet plant. Forms stunning competition-grade carpet.
