Hygrophila pinnatifida
Origin: India
Hygrophila pinnatifida is a unique species unlike typical Hygrophila. Its deeply lobed, pinnate leaves have a striking reddish-brown upper surface and purple underside. Unusually, it can be grown epiphytically attached to driftwood or rocks, much like Anubias. Suitable for aquascaping layouts.
Medium to high light for best color. CO2 recommended. pH 6.0–7.5. Can be attached to hardscape with thread or glue, or planted in substrate. Feed with liquid fertilizers for best growth and coloration. Temperature 22–28°C. Grows slowly compared to other Hygrophila species.
