Java Fern Microsorum pteropus pot

Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus) sold in a pot is one of the most universally available and reliable aquarium plants sold across Belgium and the Netherlands. Known for its distinctive dark-green, slightly leathery leaves, it is an epiphyte that must be attached to wood or rock rather than planted in substrate. Remove from pot and attach the rhizome to driftwood or a rock. Do not bury the rhizome in substrate. Thrives under low to medium light without CO2 supplementation. Fertilize lightly with liquid fertilizers for optimal growth. New plantlets will form on leaf edges for easy propagation.
