Java Fern Windelov (Microsorum pteropus 'Windelov')

Java Fern 'Windelov' (Microsorum pteropus 'Windelov') is a highly decorative cultivar with uniquely branched leaf tips that divide into fine, antler-like tines. It adds fine texture and visual complexity to aquascapes without requiring extra effort from the aquarist. Named after Tropica founder Holger Windelov, this cultivar is a classic in the Dutch and Belgian planted tank hobby.

Attach the rhizome to driftwood or rock — never bury in substrate. Thrives under low to medium light without CO2. Grows slowly but reliably. Feed liquid fertilizers occasionally for richer green color. Propagates from plantlets that emerge on older leaf edges.
