Lagenandra meeboldii
Origin: South India, Sri Lanka
Lagenandra meeboldii 'Pink' is a beautiful South Asian aquatic plant closely related to Cryptocoryne. Submersed specimens develop vivid pink-to-red colouration on the leaf blade — particularly striking when planted in masses. It is slower-growing than most Crypts and benefits from a rich substrate and some CO2, but is not demanding. Its elongated leaves and rich colouration make it a standout midground or background plant in Dutch-style aquascapes.
Plant in nutritious substrate. Medium light preferred; pink colour intensifies under better light. CO2 beneficial but not required. Temperature 22–28 °C. Soft, slightly acidic water. Stable conditions; avoid sudden parameter swings that may trigger Crypt melt-like behaviour.
