Anubias lanceolata
Also known as: Lanceolate Anubias, Lance Leaf Anubias
Origin: West Africa
Lanceolate Anubias (Anubias lanceolata) is a West African species with smooth, lance-shaped leaves that taper to an elegant point, combining the graceful form of angustifolia with the robust leaf width of barteri. Its prominent leaf venation gives each frond a refined, structured appearance. It is highly adaptable and grows well in both low-light, low-tech tanks and more intensively managed aquascapes.
Light: low light; highly tolerant of low-light conditions. CO2: not required; liquid fertilisation maintains dark-green colouration. Attachment: secure rhizome to hardscape with thread or superglue; do not bury the rhizome. Trimming: minimal maintenance needed; remove old leaves at the base as they yellow. Growth: very slow; propagate by careful rhizome division.
