Lilaeopsis brasiliensis
Origin: South America (Brazil)
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis (Brazilian Micro Sword) is a low-growing grass-like plant with flat, narrow leaves that slowly forms a dense foreground carpet. More tolerant of lower light than Glossostigma, it is well-suited to mid-tech planted setups. A popular choice for creating a lawn-like foreground in Dutch and nature-style aquascapes.
Plant in fine substrate, separating individual runners 2–3 cm apart. Grows slowly but spreads via lateral runners to form a carpet. Benefits from CO2 supplementation and medium to high lighting for optimal carpet density. Trim as needed. Compatible with all fish and invertebrates.
