Limnophila sessiliflora
Origin: Asia
Limnophila sessiliflora (Ambulia or Asian Marshweed) is a fast-growing stem plant with whorls of fine, feathery bright-green leaves that closely resemble Cabomba but are more tolerant of low light and cooler temperatures. A popular and versatile background plant that substitutes for the more demanding milfoils in beginner setups. Regular pruning and replanting of tops encourages dense, bushy growth.
Plant in bunches at the rear of the aquarium. Prune tops regularly and replant cuttings for dense coverage. No CO2 required. Tolerates a wide range of light levels. Excellent for new tank cycling due to rapid growth and nutrient uptake. Compatible with all fish and invertebrates.
