Limnophila sessiliflora
Origin: Asia
Limnophila sessiliflora (Asian Marshweed / Ambulia) sold as a bunch features fine, feathery whorls of leaves that closely resemble Cabomba but are considerably easier to grow. An excellent oxygenator providing dense cover that many fish and invertebrates appreciate. Its graceful appearance and ease of care make it a regular on Belgian aquarium shop benches.
Remove rubber band and separate stems. Plant in groups at the back of the aquarium. Prune tops regularly and replant cuttings for continued density. No CO2 required. Grows quickly and helps keep algae in check by absorbing excess nutrients.
