Ludwigia arcuata
Origin: Southeastern USA
Ludwigia arcuata is one of the most visually distinctive stem plants with extremely fine, needle-like leaves that turn a deep red under high light and CO2. The delicate, feathery texture contrasts beautifully with broad-leaved plants. More demanding than common Ludwigia species.
High light and CO2 required for best red coloration. pH 5.5–7.0, soft water preferred. Trim regularly to encourage bushy growth. Replant cuttings. Feed with liquid fertilizer high in iron for maximum red coloration. One of the most rewarding red plants for high-tech setups.
