Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' (Golden Creeping Jenny)

Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea' is the golden-leaved form of creeping jenny, a vigorous trailing marginal that carpets pond edges and stream banks with cheerful golden-yellow rounded leaves and bright yellow star-shaped flowers in early summer. Its bright colour provides excellent contrast to green-leaved neighbours. Extremely popular in Dutch and Belgian garden centres for pond and container plantings.

Plant at the pond margin in moist soil or very shallow water (0–5 cm). Thrives in partial shade to full sun; golden colour is most intense in partial shade. Grows vigorously; trim to control spread. Fully cold-hardy and frost-tolerant. Easy care makes it ideal for beginners creating wildlife-friendly ponds.
