Micranthemum tweediei Monte Carlo TC

Micranthemum tweediei 'Monte Carlo' is one of the most sought-after foreground carpet plants, featuring small round bright-green leaves that form a dense, lush carpet. Easier to grow than Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba', it can even carpet without CO2 under bright lighting. Tissue culture — free from pests and algae.

Divide the tissue culture cup into small portions and plant individually or in small clusters directly on substrate. High lighting preferred; CO2 greatly accelerates carpeting. Supplement with liquid micro and macro fertilisers. Under moderate light without CO2, growth is slower but carpeting is still achievable. Trim with scissors to maintain carpet height.
