Microsorum pteropus Trident

Microsorum pteropus 'Trident' is a cultivated variety of Java fern with narrow, three-pronged (trident-shaped) lobed fronds. The distinctive architectural shape creates visual interest compared to the standard Java fern. It grows epiphytically on hardscape and is as hardy as the standard form, tolerating very low light and poor water conditions. A popular choice for biotope tanks and Nature aquascapes where visual texture variation is sought.

Light: very low to medium. Do NOT bury rhizome. Attach to hardscape. No CO2 required. Temperature: 18–30°C. Extremely hardy. Java fern care rules apply.
