Mini Christmas Moss

Mini Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) is closely related to Christmas Moss but produces smaller, more tightly arranged fronds that give a neater, more defined shape on hardscape. It originates from tropical Asian streams and grows slowly, maintaining its form well without frequent trimming. Its fine texture makes it especially effective for detailed iwagumi and nature aquascape styles.

Light: low light suitable; medium light improves density and the characteristic tiered form. CO2: not required; CO2 injection tightens frond structure and deepens green colour. Attachment: secure with thin cotton thread or superglue gel to rocks or wood. Trimming: trim outer edges lightly to keep the triangular form; avoid cutting into the base. Growth: slow; divide and reattach portions to propagate.
