Anubias minima
Also known as: Minimum Anubias, Minima Anubias
Origin: West Africa
Minimum Anubias (Anubias minima) is a rare, naturally occurring dwarf species from West African streams, producing clusters of small, narrow leaves on a compact rhizome. Its proportional similarity to A. nana 'Petite' but distinct natural species status makes it of interest to both hobbyists and botanists. It is ideal for nano tanks, small-stone aquascapes, and anywhere that a finely scaled anubias is needed.
Light: low light; does not require any supplemental lighting beyond basic aquarium levels. CO2: not required; trace element fertilisation helps maintain crisp leaf colour. Attachment: attach rhizome to small rocks or wood pieces with superglue gel. Trimming: remove individual leaves as they age; the small scale requires fine-pointed scissors. Growth: very slow; propagate by careful rhizome division into segments with 2–3 leaves each.
