Nesaea pedicellata Red

Nesaea pedicellata 'Red' is a brilliant African stem plant with vivid red-to-orange leaves that create an outstanding colour focal point in aquascapes. Its small, oval leaves form opposite pairs along the stem. Under good light and CO2 the upper leaves develop intense scarlet-orange colouration. One of the few truly 'red' plants that is relatively forgiving compared to demanding Rotala species. Excellent in the midground or background of Dutch-style and natural aquascapes.

Medium to high light for best red colour. CO2 recommended. Temperature 20–28 °C. Soft, slightly acidic water. Comprehensive liquid fertiliser with sufficient iron for red pigment development. Plant in groups for impact.
