Nymphaea 'James Brydon'
Origin: Hybrid (USA, 1900)
Nymphaea 'James Brydon' is a stunning hardy water lily producing rich deep-red to burgundy cup-shaped flowers against dark bronze-green mottled leaves. One of the more shade-tolerant water lilies, making it suitable for ponds with some shade. Fully hardy in Belgian winters.
Same care as other hardy water lilies. Suitable depth 30–60 cm. Performs well in partial shade (minimum 4–6 hours direct sun). Plant in heavy loam in aquatic baskets. Remove faded blooms and yellowing leaves. Divide rhizome every 3–4 years.
