Nymphaea lotus 'Red' Bulb

Nymphaea lotus 'Red', the Tiger Lotus, is a spectacular aquarium plant with deep red-maroon mottled leaves that rise in large rosettes. Grows from a bulb with broad floating leaves in high light. Can be kept submerged by trimming aerial leaves.

Medium to high light. Root tabs recommended. Temperature 22–28°C, pH 5.5–7.5. Plant bulb partially — do NOT fully bury. Trim surface leaves to keep growth submerged. Large, dramatic centrepiece plant.
