Nymphaea 'Marliacea Rosea'
Origin: France (Latour-Marliac, 1879)
Nymphaea 'Marliacea Rosea' is a classic pink hardy water lily introduced by Latour-Marliac in 1879, bearing delicate rose-pink flowers that deepen in colour with age, held above large, round floating pads. One of the most widely sold pond plants in the Netherlands and Belgium for over a century, it is a reliable, vigorous grower that delivers consistent summer colour in medium and large ponds. A foundational variety for any serious Belgian water garden.
Plant at 40–100 cm water depth in full sun with heavy aquatic loam. Feed monthly with slow-release aquatic fertilizer tablets from April to September. Divide every 3–5 years when root mass becomes congested and flowering declines. Remove spent flowers to prolong the blooming season.
