About
Pistia stratiotes, Water Lettuce, is a large floating plant with velvety rosette leaves and extensive dangling root systems. Excellent nutrient remover for new or heavily stocked tanks. Provides shade for surface fish. Ideal for paludariums and ponds.
Care Guide
High light to full sun. Keep still or gently moving water. Temperature 22–30°C. Remove to indoor aquarium in Belgian winters. Excellent for outdoor ponds in summer. Roots used by killies and mouthbrooders.
