Pogostemon helferi Downoi

Pogostemon helferi — locally known as 'Downoi' (little star in Thai) — is a compact, rosette-forming stem plant with unusual wavy, crinkled leaf edges arranged in star formations. It is native to Thailand's fast-moving streams and requires good flow, bright light, and CO2 to thrive. Under ideal conditions it forms dense foreground mats of star-rosettes. A highly distinctive and sought-after plant for Nature and Dutch aquascapes.

Light: high. CO2 injection essential. Flow: moderate-high. pH 5.5–7.5. Temperature: 22–28°C. Forms star rosette mats. Distinctive appearance unlike any other plant.
