Ranunculus papulentus
Also known as: Papular Water Buttercup, Wart Buttercup
Origin: Australia
Ranunculus papulentus is a rare aquatic buttercup from Australia producing extremely finely divided, feather-like submerged leaves that create a soft, naturalistic texture reminiscent of delicate aquatic ferns. The tissue culture form delivers a clean, snail-free plant ready for immediate planting. It performs best in cooler water with moderate to high light and benefits from CO2 supplementation for dense, lush growth. Its creeping habit gradually covers the foreground or midground with a low, airy mat. As an Australian endemic it is rarely offered in the hobby and represents an exciting botanical addition for specialist planted tank enthusiasts. Avoid temperatures above 25°C for optimal health.
Light: Medium–high CO2: Recommended Fertilisation: Moderate macro and micro dosing Placement: Foreground to midground Propagation: Divide creeping stems and replant sections
