Riccardia chamedryfolia
Origin: Europe, Asia
Riccardia chamedryfolia is a tiny, intricately branching liverwort with a coral-like or fern-like appearance visible to the naked eye. It grows in miniature mounds on hardscape and creates a unique micro-texture in nano and iwagumi aquascapes. Highly popular in ADA-style Nature Aquarium layouts.
Moderate light and CO2 for best growth — grows very slowly without CO2 supplementation. Attach to rocks or driftwood with super glue gel. Soft, acidic water preferred. Remove any algae carefully — difficult to clean once algae establishes. Best in pristine, well-maintained planted tanks.
