Taxiphyllum sp. 'Rose'
Origin: Asia
Rose Moss is a rare Flame Moss variant whose fronds curl outward in rosette-like formations, adding a sculptural, flower-inspired detail to aquascape rockwork. Unlike the typical Flame Moss which grows upward, this variant fans outward in rosettes that provide a distinctive three-dimensional texture. Grows slowly but maintains a consistently attractive form without requiring heavy trimming.
Attach to hardscape with thread or gel glue; do not bury in substrate. Low to medium light. pH 6.0–8.0, temperature 15–28°C, GH 1–18, KH 0–8. CO2 recommended for faster growth but not essential. Very slow grower — establish for 2–3 months before evaluating. Compatible with all freshwater species. Trim with scissors when necessary.
