Rotala 'Sunset'

Rotala 'Sunset' is a striking cultivar renowned for its vivid orange-to-pink foliage gradient that deepens under intense lighting. The small, densely packed leaves form lush columns that make it a standout specimen in Dutch- and nature-style aquascapes. CO2 injection and a nutritious substrate bring out the most saturated tones. Regular trimming encourages bushy lateral growth and prevents legginess.

Plant in nutrient-rich substrate under high-output LED or T5 lighting. Inject CO2 at 20–30 ppm for best colour. Dose liquid macro and micro fertilisers regularly. Trim stems at 20–25 cm to encourage branching. Soft to moderately hard water is preferred; avoid pH above 7.5 for peak coloration.
