Rotala sp. Requires soft, acidic water (pH 5.5–7.0, GH <8) and high-intensity lighting. CO2 injection at 25–35 ppm is essential. Dose iron and comprehensive micro-nutrients to sustain colour intensity. Trim regularly to prevent lower leaves from shading out. Avoid alkaline or hard water, which dulls the signature magenta tones.
