Seachem Flourite Black Sand is a stable, porous clay substrate in fine sand grain size for the natural planted aquarium. Its dark black colour creates a striking high-contrast backdrop that makes plant colours and fish hues pop dramatically. Flourite Black Sand does not alter pH or water chemistry, is safe for all aquarium inhabitants, and never needs replacement — making it a permanent, long-term substrate investment.

Rinse thoroughly before use; significant initial cloudiness is normal. Layer to a depth of 5–8 cm for best plant root penetration. Compatible with root tabs for heavy root feeders. Safe for all fish, invertebrates, and shrimp. Does not compact over time. Can be gently vacuumed during maintenance; avoid vigorous gravel vacuuming that disturbs fine substrate layers.
