Taxiphyllum sp.
Origin: Asia
Taxiphyllum sp. 'Spiky' (previously classified as Vesicularia sp.) produces distinctive stiff, spiky-looking fronds that grow outward from the substrate rather than drooping. On horizontal flat rock surfaces it forms a dense, spiky carpet. It grows at a moderate pace and is more compact than Java moss. A distinctive texture variety popular among aquascapers looking for visual contrast in moss selections.
Light: low-medium. Flow: gentle. CO2 beneficial. Attach to flat rock for carpet effect. Temperature: 20–28°C.
