Staurogyne repens
Origin: Brazil
Staurogyne repens is a compact, creeping stem plant that stays low (5–8 cm) making it ideal for the foreground or mid-foreground of planted aquariums. The small, rounded leaves develop a warm green to slightly brownish hue under optimal conditions. It is one of the most reliable non-grass foreground plants, easier than carpet grasses like HC Cuba or eleocharis. Tissue culture plants are 100% pest-free and snail-free.
Light: medium-high. CO2 recommended. Plant individual stems 2 cm apart. Trim tops to encourage bushy, dense growth. Temperature: 20–28°C. TC: pest and snail free.
