String Moss — Leptodictyum riparium

String Moss (Leptodictyum riparium) produces long, thin, flowing strands that hang downward like a green waterfall when attached to overhanging driftwood or rocks. The drooping growth habit creates a distinctive 'weeping willow' effect unlike any other aquarium moss. Easy to grow and very forgiving.

Attach to overhanging driftwood or elevated rocks to allow strands to droop naturally. Low to moderate light. Very tolerant of varying water conditions. Grows relatively quickly — trim occasionally to prevent tangling. No CO2 required. An excellent moss for natural-style aquascaping.
