Tropica 1-2-Grow Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini'

A compact red stem plant that adds vivid magenta-red contrast to planted aquascapes, staying shorter than the standard Alternanthera reineckii and making it ideal for midground placement. Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-Grow tissue culture cup containing approximately 25 sterile, pest-free, snail-free plantlets. Requires good lighting and benefits greatly from CO2 injection for sustained red coloration.

Rinse the tissue culture gel from the plantlets thoroughly before planting. Separate individual stems and plant 1–2 cm apart in nutrient-rich substrate. High lighting and CO2 injection are key to maintaining the vivid red color — low light causes green, leggy growth. Dose comprehensive liquid fertilizer regularly. Trim tops and replant for bushier growth. Pest-free tissue culture source is ideal for shrimp tanks.
