Cryptocoryne parva
Origin: Sri Lanka
Cryptocoryne parva is the smallest Cryptocoryne species available, forming a neat, compact low-growing rosette of narrow, bright green leaves that stays reliably short without trimming. Exceptionally hardy and virtually indestructible once established, it is among the most maintenance-free foreground plants in the hobby. Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-Grow tissue culture cup with approximately 25 sterile, algae-free, pest-free plantlets. Does not require CO2 or high lighting.
Rinse tissue culture gel from plantlets and separate individual rosettes for planting. Plant in nutrient-rich substrate — growth is slow but steady; be patient. No CO2 or high lighting required. Fertilization helps but is not essential. Divides readily once established; a single cup can carpet a 30 × 30 cm area over several months. Excellent choice for low-tech, shrimp, or betta tanks.
