Cryptocoryne wendtii
Origin: Sri Lanka
Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Green' is one of the most reliable and widely planted freshwater aquarium plants, with broad, textured green leaves that add natural structure and depth to any layout. It adapts easily to a wide range of water conditions and tolerates low light exceptionally well, making it a cornerstone species for beginners and one of the most forgiving plants in the hobby. Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-Grow tissue culture cup with approximately 25 sterile, pest-free, snail-free plantlets.
Rinse tissue culture gel thoroughly and plant individual rosettes leaving space for growth. Plant in root-feeding substrate or enrich with root tabs for best results. Tolerates low light but grows faster with medium lighting. No CO2 required. Water changes and a small dose of liquid fertilizer monthly support steady, healthy growth. Allow 4–6 weeks for adjustment after planting — some initial melt of tissue culture leaves is normal before new aquatic leaves emerge.
