Lilaeopsis brasiliensis
Origin: Brazil, Argentina
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, the Brazilian Micro Sword, forms a lawn-like carpet of narrow, upright bright-green leaves reaching 3–7 cm. Less demanding than Glossostigma, it works in medium-light setups with CO2. Tissue culture form is pest-free. Spreads via runners to fill the foreground.
Medium-high light and CO2 for best carpeting results. pH 6.0–7.5. Plant individual tufts 2–3 cm apart. Will spread via runners over 8–16 weeks. Tolerates a wider range of conditions than Glossostigma but still needs CO2 for dense growth.
