Micranthemum tweediei 'Monte Carlo'
Origin: Argentina (Río de la Plata)
Tropica 1-2-Grow Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' is a tissue culture carpeting plant widely regarded as easier than Hemianthus callitrichoides (HC Cuba). The round, bright-green leaves form a dense, lush carpet. Tissue culture form is pest-free and ideal for setting up new aquascapes.
Medium-high light and CO2 injection for reliable carpeting. pH 6.0–7.5. Divide into small tufts, plant 1–2 cm apart. Roots into substrate and spreads laterally over 6–10 weeks. Trim with aquascaping scissors to maintain compact growth. More forgiving than HC Cuba on light and CO2.
