Najas guadalupensis
Origin: Americas (widespread)
Najas guadalupensis is a delicate, feathery aquatic plant from the Americas with fine, serrated, narrow leaves arranged in opposite pairs along freely branching stems. Extremely easy to grow in virtually any aquarium conditions, it serves as an outstanding water conditioner through rapid nutrient uptake and provides dense, intricate shelter for fry, shrimplets, and small invertebrates. Supplied as a Tropica 1-2-Grow tissue culture cup with approximately 25 sterile plantlets.
Can be planted loosely in substrate or allowed to float freely. No CO2 or high lighting required. Grows readily in almost any freshwater conditions. Trim regularly to prevent overcrowding as it can become invasive in its growth. Provides ideal natural filtration and shelter in breeding and fry-rearing tanks. One of the most beginner-friendly aquatic plants available.
