Tropica Pot Eleocharis acicularis

Eleocharis acicularis is the classic aquarium hair grass, producing a dense carpet of fine, needle-like bright green blades across the substrate to create a natural, meadow-like foreground. Larger and slightly less fine-textured than the 'Mini' form, it spreads via runners and is a cornerstone plant of Nature Aquarium and Dutch-style aquascaping. Performs best with moderate to high light and CO2 supplementation. Supplied as a Tropica potted plant.

Plant small clumps 2–3 cm apart in nutrient-rich substrate. CO2 injection and medium to high lighting accelerate carpeting. Without CO2, growth is possible but slow and less compact. Root tabs or nutritious substrate support runner production. Trim to the desired height with sharp scissors. Hardy and tolerates a wide range of water chemistry.
