Sagittaria subulata
Origin: North America, South America
Sagittaria subulata is a versatile American eel grass with narrow, ribbon-like bright green leaves that adjust height according to lighting — compact and grass-like under intense light, taller and more gracefully flowing under lower light. It propagates vigorously via runners, naturally filling open substrate areas. Extremely easy and tolerant, it is suitable for planted tanks at all skill levels and in cool-water to tropical setups. Supplied in a Tropica pot.
Plant individual rosettes in substrate. No CO2 required; grows in virtually any water conditions and lighting levels. Spreads rapidly via runners — allow free colonization or trim daughter plants to control spread. Root tabs or nutritious substrate support vigorous runner production. One of the easiest and most reliable aquarium plants.
