Vallisneria americana 'Gigantea' is the giant form of American vallis, with broad ribbon-like leaves reaching 60–150 cm in length. Perfect for very large aquariums needing impressive background vegetation. Extremely vigorous and fast-growing under good light and CO2.

Care Guide

Requires at least 120-cm tall aquarium or the leaves will float on the surface. Medium-high light for best growth. Root tabs essential. CO2 beneficial. pH 6.5–8.0, temperature 18–28°C. Spreads rapidly via runners — thin out regularly. Does not tolerate Flourish Excel.
