Vallisneria gigantea bunch

Vallisneria gigantea lives up to its name with very long, broad leaves that can reach the water surface and float along it in tall aquariums, creating a dramatic curtain backdrop unlike any other Val variety. Ideal for large, deep tanks where it establishes sweeping stands of swaying foliage. Highly tolerant of a wide range of water conditions and requires no CO2 supplementation.

Best in tanks taller than 50 cm where its leaf length can be fully appreciated. Plant deeply in fine or coarse substrate supplemented with root tabs. Allow runners to colonise the background zone. Do not trim leaves mid-length; remove only fully yellowed or damaged older leaves from the base. Strong lighting accelerates growth significantly.
