Vallisneria spiralis Tiger

Vallisneria spiralis 'Tiger' is a smaller-growing Vallisneria cultivar with distinctive dark transverse stripes on narrow ribbon-like leaves. The tiger stripe pattern distinguishes it from all other Vallisneria and creates visual interest in the background. Like other Vallisneria it spreads rapidly via runners and is best planted in dense groups for a jungle backdrop effect. It is hardy, easy-growing, and works in all types of aquariums including hard water tanks.

Light: medium-high. No CO2 required. Hardy in hard water (benefits from moderate hardness). Temperature: 18–30°C. Spreads via runners — trim excess. Background plant.
