Vesicularia montagnei on Driftwood

Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) arrives fully established on a piece of natural driftwood, ready to place immediately in the aquarium as an instant midground or foreground feature. The classic tiered fronds resembling miniature Christmas tree branches are already well-anchored and will continue to spread and fill in under standard aquarium conditions. A beautiful and low-maintenance addition to planted and shrimp tanks alike.

Place in low to medium light — strong light encourages algae growth on the moss. CO2 is not required but accelerates growth. Trim regularly to maintain a neat, bushy appearance. Temperature 15–28°C, pH 5.5–7.5. Shrimp will graze continuously on the moss surface, keeping it clean and healthy. New growth will gradually cover the driftwood for a lush, natural look.
