CPO Crayfish — Cambarellus patzcuarensis Orange

The CPO or orange dwarf crayfish (Cambarellus patzcuarensis var. Orange) is a brilliantly coloured, small crayfish from Mexican plateau lakes, prized for its vivid tangerine-orange hue and manageable size. Unlike larger crayfish, CPOs are generally peaceful enough to be kept with smaller fish and robust dwarf shrimp in community aquariums. They are active foragers, entertaining to observe, and relatively straightforward to breed in captivity.
