Pomacanthus semicirculatus
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Pomacanthus semicirculatus, the Koran Angelfish, is a large, magnificent angelfish famous for the dramatic transformation from juvenile to adult colouration. Juveniles are jet-black with white concentric semicircular lines that resemble Arabic script — a stunning pattern that changes entirely as the fish matures into the blue-green adult form. NOT suitable for reef tanks — will consume LPS corals and large invertebrates. Best in a FOWLR (fish-only with live rock) system. A showpiece fish for dedicated large tank keepers.
FOWLR only — will eat corals and invertebrates. 400+ L for adults. Standard marine parameters. Feed quality marine angelfish preparations, frozen mysis, algae sheets, and sponge-based angelfish foods. Peaceful with dissimilar fish but may be aggressive with other angels.
