Pelvicachromis pulcher, the Kribensis or Krib, is one of the most popular and beginner-friendly dwarf cichlids in the hobby. Females are particularly striking with their vivid purple-red belly during breeding. A cave spawner with excellent biparental care; easy to breed in the home aquarium. Sold as a proven pair.

Care Guide

Suitable for tanks from 60 L upwards. Provide caves (coconut halves or clay pots), sandy substrate, and some planting. Feed varied diet: quality cichlid pellets, frozen bloodworm, brine shrimp. Territorial toward conspecifics when breeding but generally peaceful. Soft, slightly acidic water ideal but adaptable.
